Collection: VETIVER ESSENTIAL OIL
A perennial plant native to Sri Lanka and India, Vetiver's deep roots are said to draw life force from the earth. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for its therapeutic properties, Vetiver has a fragrance much sought-after by perfumers for its deep, warm, woody scent. Nicknamed "the oil of tranquility" thanks to its soothing properties, Vetiver essential oil is also indicated for stimulating blood circulation and boosting the immune system.
There are many different types of vetiver, but Haitian vetiver remains one of the world’s finest.
Use mode:
• Oral use
The use of essential oils by mouth is reserved for medical prescription and under the supervision of a health professional. Put 2-3 drops of vetiver oil in a tablespoon of sugar or honey syrup and swallow. It helps to treat colds, coughs, stress, fatigue...
• Cutaneous route
Apply the essential oil diluted 20% in a vegetable oil. Do this if you don't appreciate the pure scent of vetiver oil.
Before use, you can perform a skin application test. Simply apply a drop of essential oil to the crease of the elbow and wait for a reaction. If there is no allergic reaction, massage the treated area. Use in case of pain, inflammation, flu, fatigue, itching or bloating....
• Olfactory route (diffusion / inhalation)
This essential oil can be diffused on its own or in combination with other essential oils. However, it is preferable to use it as a blend when diffusing, as the scent of Vetiver essential oil alone can be heady. Using an essential oil diffuser helps calm stress, fatigue and insomnia.
Warning: not recommended for children under 10, pregnant women under 3 months and breastfeeding.
